As part of our Stone Age learning, Year 3 explored how prehistoric people created cave art and what these can tell us about life in the Stone Age. Using charcoal sticks, we drew handprints and animals such as woolly mammoths and wild boar, inspired by the cave paintings left behind by early settlers. We coloured them using natural colours, such as orange, red and brown, inspired by the rock pigments used by early humans.
