Science
We follow Super Science, a programme of learning that aims to nurture an investigative and inquisitive mindset for our young learners. By providing opportunities for children to improve their scientific knowledge, they are able to develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.
Forest School forms part of our school curriculum for all pupils. During these sessions they are able to engage with the natural world and develop a respect and appreciation for nature through hands-on learning experiences in a woodland environment.
Through the use of our outdoor environment, pupils are able to explore and embed their learning through practical activities such as growing vegetables, visits to the wildlife pond, maintaining the Orchard and caring for our school animals.
British Science Week is celebrated every year with a range lessons and activities across the school, often with visitors and other exciting opportunities. Children in Key Stage 2 also have the opportunity to visit the Science Museum in London to further their experience.
