Year 6 - Holes WOW Day
Back to Latest NewsOur Year 6 children were transported to the hot Texan sun for an immersive afternoon inspired by Holes! They were told that their task was simple: survive and dig holes!
Armed with shovels, the children headed outside and were given shelters to help them survive the scorching conditions. They had to work together, dig their holes and make the most of the limited resources available. Each child was allowed just one cup of canteen water for the afternoon.
The children were also given an important warning: if they found anything precious, they had to hand it straight to the Warden!
After a challenging afternoon of digging, surviving and working as a team, the children were finally introduced to the book that will take them on their next adventure: Holes by Louis Sachar. We can't wait to discover what happens at Camp Green Lake!
