Year 3 have had a wonderful start to the new academic year and settled back into school well, learning our new classroom routines with confidence and engaging enthusiastically with our exciting unit, Harold Hill Historians.

Children have explored how Harold Hill has changed from the past to the present by sorting photographs and explaining the clues that helped us identify them. We also compared old and modern maps to discover how our local area has developed over time.

Year 3 then investigated The Manor House, using historical evidence to sketch what they thought this important landmark may have looked like in the past. We also learned about the different workers who lived and worked there, discussing their responsibilities and the important roles they played.

Children also enjoyed a local walk to explore the ruins and remains of the Manor House, bringing our history learning to life.
