Year 6 had an exciting day visiting Queen Mary University in London. Their journey began at Harold Wood Station, where we travelled on the Elizabeth Line to Whitechapel before walking to the university campus.

During the day, the children were given a tour of the university, allowing them to explore the campus and learn about student life. They discovered what it is like to study at university and gained an insight into the many opportunities available in higher education.

The children also took part in a budgeting workshop, where they worked through a series of interactive games and challenges. They learned about managing money, making sensible spending decisions and balancing a budget – important life skills for the future.

Another highlight of the day was an engaging biology workshop. The children enthusiastically participated in practical activities and investigations, asking thoughtful questions and demonstrating excellent curiosity throughout.

Well done Year 6 for showing such enthusiasm and curiosity throughout the day.
