Year 6 - Careers Convention

This afternoon, Year 6 children from Drapers' Maylands, Pyrgo and Brookside had the fantastic opportunity to meet and interact with professionals across a wide range of careers. This included doctors, nurses, technicians, engineers, accountants, teachers, personal trainers, consultants and CFOs. 

The convention allowed the children to begin thinking about their future goals and aspirations, particularly as they prepare for the next steps of their education in secondary school. 

Children asked a range of unique and thought-provoking questions to the professionals to find out more about their careers, such as: 

'What is your best advice for choosing a career?'

'What are the most important skills for your job?'

'What made you choose your job?'

'If you could go back in time, would you choose the same career?' 

Well done to all children for showing engagement and curiosity when considering your future careers. The sky is your limit!
