This week the children were able to pick and eat even more strawberries from our Early Years garden. They have also continued to look after the potatoes, runner beans and peas. For the Eat Them to Defeat Them project we tried sweetcorn and delicious sweetcorn fritters cooked by our kitchen staff!

It's been a rather wet week, so the children have taken full advantage and been puddle jumping outside and during their Forest School session. We visited the chickens, and went for a story session in our Enchanted Wood Library. The children loved feeding the chickens, who were very and hungry and had some calm time in our lovely library.

The children are getting very creative in the Construction Areas, inside and out, making beautiful models and enhancing them with other resources. They have also made telescopes to link with our 'Pirates' them and shown some fantastic role playing skills too.

Next week, during Forest School, the children will be walking to the Lily Pond and the site of the Manor House as part of our 'Harold Hill Historians' project. We'll be able to find out where he Manor House once stood and hopefully spot a herd of deer!

Have a lovely weekend.
