Dormouse & Hedgehog Class - Outdoor Classroom Day

Outdoor Classroom Day was celebrated in full in Early Years today! We always love being outside, but we thought today, we would also do our Phonics lesson in the garden. There was lots of planting taking place in the Outdoor Classroom and we were able to see the new pond developments.

As our Unit of Learning is ‘People Who Help Us’, we decided to have a letter race. We walked to the nearest post box and to our surprise the Postal Worker was just about to collect the mail! The children were so excited to watch how it was done and the Postal Worker kindly explained to the children what would happen next. On our way back to school we saw him making some deliveries to nearby houses.
