Year 6 - Newspaper Reporters

Following the success of last week’s Fireworks Spectacular, Pine Marten class were delighted to be awarded the coveted Enterprise Cup for raising the most money with their fantastic ‘Lucky Cups’ stall. Well done as well to Polecat class for their excellent efforts with the Ring Toss fundraiser. Thank you to all of the children who came along and worked on the stalls to support their class’ efforts.  

In English this week the children practising their reporting skills, writing newspaper reports inspired by the character Kissin’ Kate Barlow, a notorious outlaw from the world of Louis Sachar’s Holes (the book we have been enjoying in class).  

Thank you to the parents and carers who were able to attend Year 6’s Online Safety Assembly on Tuesday morning. The children worked hard to create a presentation, a quiz and write their own lines to share the learning they had done in class. Ask them to share their top three tips for staying safe online with you at home.
