Year 4 - Poetry, Conductive Music & the Library

This week in literacy we have focused on poems and writing poetry. The children have used poetic devices such as alliteration, onomatopoeia, rhyme and repetition to construct a poem of their own.  

The children enjoyed reciting poems and adding actions to enhance their performance. 

In next week’s blog lookout for examples of wonderful year 4 poetry on the theme of water. 

In Lizard class, the children had a visitor from ‘Conductive Music’. The children used IT technology to listen, write and compose music.  

Further, the children are continuing to enjoy their library visits by taking advantage of the amazing facilities that Drapers’ Maylands has to offer.
