Year 5 - Outdoor Classroom Day

During our Science lesson on Thursday Year 5 learnt about forces and how different surfaces can slow down or speed up the vehicle that is moving. They made excellent predictions before completing the investigation about the different resistance of each surface.

Heron and Kingfisher class enjoyed investigating outside which surfaces would slow down their car and which would make them travel at a steady speed. They wrote down their results and compared them with each other after completing the experiment. 

Don't forget to ask your child at home which surface made the car travel the quickest and why they think this happened!
