The children in year 3 thoroughly enjoyed their visit to The Natural History museum. We were so excited to travel by coach through London where we passed famous sites including the Shard, the Gherkin and the London Eye.

When we arrived at the museum, we started to explore the famous dinosaur skeletons. This was super exciting as we have been learning about skeletons in our science lessons so it was amazing to see skeletons in real life! After seeing a triceratops skull, a giant, roaring T-Rex and many more, we headed to the lunch room for a delicious packed lunch.

Next, we explored the creepy crawlies area which involved a life-size termite mound! Then, we walked around the impressive mammals exhibit. The children were amazed at the colossal blue whale model which spanned across the ceiling! The reptiles exhibit was our last stop where we saw crocodiles, snakes and tortoises.

Questions to ask your child:

1) What is special about a pangolin?

2) Can you think of some adjectives to describe the T-Rex model?
