Year 3 - Festival of Reading

Our school was full of excitement and creativity as we celebrated our annual Festival of Reading. Year 3 pupils enjoyed sharing stories with Year 1 children, creating a lovely opportunity for older pupils to support and inspire younger readers, as well as reading in our Enchanted Wood Bookshop. We took our Pie Corbett Poetry Books outside too, to Read Beyond the Classroom. On World Book Day, pupils arrived in a wonderful range of inspiring costumes, and it was clear that everyone had put in a fantastic effort to share their love of books and characters. The day was filled with a real sense of wonder and enthusiasm for reading. We also welcomed visitors who delivered a lively Rapspeare drama workshop, bringing Shakespeare’s words to life through rhythm, rhyme and performance. It was a brilliant celebration of stories, imagination and the joy of reading.
