Year 6 - Cinema Experience

Today, Year 6 finally watched the film 'Holes'. In English, the children had been studying the book and had recently finished reading it. Each child thoroughly enjoyed the book and were excited to watch the film so they could compare it to the book.

On Thursday, the children entered their 'Cinema Experience' with popcorn and watched the film altogether. At the end of the film, some of our children said:

"The book was so similar to the film!"

"I imagined the Warden to be completely different to watch she looked like in the film."

"I loved the parts with the flashbacks; it really helped me to understanding the film more."

"I really want to read the book again now."

"That was the best film I have ever watched."

Year 6 loved learning about 'The Wild West' and were able to link lots of their learning throughout the story 'Holes'. 

Well done Year 6 for showing a love for learning.
