Visit to the Manor ruins

This week we had a wonderful visit to the Manor, looking for the Manor house ruins. We have been learning about the Manor and who occupied it. We have found out that the year before the great Fire of London in 1665, Samuel Pepys visited as a wedding guest. We also have learnt that it's last owners were the Neave family. 

Thanks to the Friends of Dagnam Park, we were able to look and imagine what the Manor house would have looked like in Georgian times. We are now going to be looking closely at Georgian houses and will be making items from each room.
