At Forest School this week it was wet and rainy. The rain filled up the small stream that runs through the forest and this was the perfect opportunity for us to observe the water running from the high ground to the low ground, around obstacles and into a pond at the end. As we have been learning about how water behaves, rivers and other bodies of water, we used some of our knowledge to comment on what we saw. Some of the children enjoyed attempting to build a bridge across this small stream with various branches, and commenting on what might and might not live in this small stream and why.

We also had lots of fun on the swing and it required some teamwork to climb onto and stay on. Other children enjoyed looking for minibeats using the magnifying glasses or exploring other parts of the forest the binoculars.
