Year 6- Boketto Workshop

On Thursday, Year 6 had the fantastic opportunity to work with local artist and author, Michael Young. Throughout the week, the children studied Michael’s graphic novel, Boketto, and had a go at sketching in his style. In the Boketto workshop, Michael introduced the children to the art of scribbling to explore creative ideas and also how to move away from drawing ‘stick-men’, opting for the more animated ‘brick-men’.  From this session, the children began to develop their ideas for their own Boketto inspired story of observations from their bedroom window, and began illustrating their ideas.
