Year 1 Big Seed Sow

Year 1 have had a wonderful first week back to welcome the Summer term. This week, children took part in the Big Seed Sow, where they visited the outside classroom to plant their seeds in their plant pots. We were so impressed with the creativity and dedication that went into decorating them!

We have also enjoyed our introduction to our new Science unit of learning, Earth and Space. As a class, we read the story 'Here We Are' by Oliver Jeffers, a guide all about life on planet Earth. Then, we used tissue paper, glue and paper plates to create our very own art pieces of the globe, carefully replicating the different landmasses and oceans.

At Forest School today, Rabbit Class were amazed by the changes in the forest, observing the new wilderness that was growing and the changing colours of the leaves.
