Squirrel Class - Favourite Three Books

To begin the Festival of Reading, starting on Monday, Squirrel Class voted on their favourite three books in class. We discussed books we have read and enjoyed then voted for our favourite three.
The top three books chosen were:
1st – Fantastic Mr Fox by Roald Dahl.
2nd – The Puffin Book of Fantastic First Poems edited by June Crebbin.
3rd – Somebody swallowed Stanley by Sarah Roberts.
Fantastic Mr Fox was our class reader this term, the children enjoyed finding out how truly fantastic he is and how far he goes to save his family.
The Puffin Book of Fantastic First Poems has been one of our favorites throughout the year. We especially enjoyed the poem called ‘HopalooKangaroo’.
Somebody Swallowed Stanley was read this term to support our writing. Squirrel class enjoyed reading the story of Stanley, a non-ordinary jellyfish that gets swollen in the sea.
