Heron Class have been voting for their 3 favourite class books and they finally decided on:

1. The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind by Michael Morpurgo

2. Kensukes Kingdom by Bryan Mealer and William Kamkwamba

4. Dork Diaries by Rachel Renée Russell

The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind

Heron Class chose 'The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind' because they loved the suspense of the story. Everyday they felt excited to read on and find out more about William and his new inventions. 

'I was on the edge of my seat for some parts.'

'I couldn't wait to find out what happened the next day.'

Kensuke's Kingdom

Heron Class chose 'Kensuke's Kingdom' because they loved the emotional roller coaster the story entailed. The children explained they loved watching Kensuke and Michael's relationship grow and develop.

'I found some parts really funny.'

'I liked the link it made to our Geography lessons.'

Dork Diaries

Finally, Heron Class decided on 'Dork Diaries' because they loved the part comic and part notebook-style of writing it has. The children also enjoyed the hilarious diary entries, drawings and doodles from Nikki's day-to-day life. 

'I love the diary entries in the book, some parts really made me laugh.'

'Having illustrations and doodle made the book come to life.'
