Year 6 - Platinum Jubilee

This week in Year 6 we have been celebrating all things Jubilee!
In Literacy the children researched Queen Elizabeth II and wrote non-chronological reports about her and her time as a reigning monarch. They also created Newsround style reports about the Platinum Jubilee and presented their bulletins to the class.
The children took part in a whole-school performance at our Platinum Jubilee picnicon Thursday; they performed an excellent hand-jive and sang beautifully.
In preparation for the picnic, Year 6 created placemats using an ink marbling technique. They enjoyed practising a new skill, and added silhouettes of iconic images such as corgis,crowns and the Queen's profile to complete their art.
Our Year 6 football team played their last match of the year against Harold Court. It was a wonderful final match (despite the rain).
