Year 6 - Mandarin

This week the children are taking part in an exciting programme called ‘My Week in China’ that introduces them to Mandarin and Chinese culture. Every day they have a one hour online lesson with a Mandarin tutor where they learn how to read, write and pronounce common phrases and words. Then they practise what they have learnt with online games, activities and quizzes.

To accompany this, the children have been learning about the human and physical geography of China. They have found out about the economic growth, the main tourist attractions and the culture of the country. Ask your child how many of the 14 bordering countries of China they can name!
