Year 5 - My Week in China

This week Year 5 and 6 have experienced a fun and engaging week based on China. ‘My Week in China’ has allowed our children to experience Chinese culture, geographical landmarks and Mandarin. They have received online virtual lessons from a teacher and engaged in interactive exercises, which have helped to consolidate their learning.

For each hour, children have been split into four small, manageable groups. Two groups have spent 30 minutes learning in an online classroom with a teacher, while the other two groups work independently through fun, interactive activities. Halfway through the lesson, the groups swapped.

The children thoroughly enjoyed our time spent learning about Chinese culture and language and are excited to use their newfound skills in the future.
