Back to Latest News
When we got to school on Monday, we found that some penguins from Antarctica had been caught in a snow storm and ended up trapped in some ice. We had to think very carefully how to save them without them being hurt. We tried using spoons to break most of the ice then tried melting it with water. We found that the best and safetst way was using warm water.
In Geography we learnt about seasonal patterns in the UK. Now we know all the siddferen patterns such as in winter gets colder and the trees are bare and Spring is warmer than winter but is still wet and rainy. We created our own weather wheels and then read and created weather reports for different seasons. Some of us were so excited learning about the weather that decided to use an iPad to record ourselves being weather reporters.
During our RE session we learnt that Christians believe that Jesus was a good friend. We read some stories about Jesus showing friendship and then talked about how we show friendship. We discussed that we are connected to everyone through friendship by creating a friendship web.
