This week some of our Year 6 students had the exciting opportunity to attend a workshop held by visitors from Conductive Music. The children learnt how to create music using technology, programming their own microbits to become musical instruments!

The children learnt how to write an algorithm that would programme their microbit to produce sound when buttons were pressed, when different levels of light were received by their microbit and when their microbit was held at different angles of elevation.

Year 6 really enjoyed improving their coding skills and combining Computing, Maths, Science and Music to create instruments and take part in performances.

At the end of the workshop, the tutors shared the website with the children and encouraged them to continue practising their skills at home - there are lots of projects that they can work on that don't require any additional resources.
