Seal Class - Science Garden

The children in Seal Class have been enjoying visiting our school chickens: Babs, Gloria and Dolly. We have learnt about why the chickens are losing their feathers at this time of year, as well as what they like to eat. Whilst we were in the Science Garden, we discussed signs of Autumn and the children enjoyed looking for leaves and conkers.

"My chicken does not lay eggs this time of year as she has no feathers"

"I love going to see the chickens because they feel soft when you stroke them"
