Year 3 Forest School
Back to Latest News
Seal Class had a fantastic time at Forest School, putting their recent learning about the Stone Age into action!
Inspired by life in prehistoric times, building Stone Age inspired shelters and creating their own cave paintings, using mud, their hands and sticks to make their marks. They became hunter-gatherers too, using sticks to create bows and arrows and imagining how Stone Age people might have hunted for food.
The children also got busy in their very own muddy ‘café’, making mud cakes and practising trading with one another.
Throughout the session, Seal Class worked brilliantly in teams and showed wonderful determination and enthusiasm. They explored the natural environment safely and confidently, using their history learning to inspire imaginative outdoor play.
