Elmer Day 2026

Drapers' Maylands celebrated Elmer Day by creating a series of lovely videos.

The most colourful day of the year, Elmer Day celebrates individuality, kindness and friendship through storytelling, creative activities and dressing in bright, colourful clothes.

Inspired by Elmer the patchwork elephant, the day reminds us that our differences - both on the outside and on the inside - are what make us special. Through fun activities, creativity and shared experiences, children celebrated uniqueness, valued one another's individuality and learned the importance of kindness, inclusion and acceptance.
