Year 3 - Vikings

Year 3 had an unforgettable WOW Day as they began their exciting new History topic all about the Vikings!

To begin their journey back in time, the children watched a fascinating video showing what life was like during the Viking era. They were intrigued by how Vikings lived, the types of homes they built, and the roles people had within their communities.

The classroom was filled with music and energy as the children learned the BBC song “Sing us a Saga.” They thoroughly enjoyed singing along, imagining themselves as Viking storytellers sharing tales of adventure and exploration.

Another highlight was tasting foods that Vikings might have eaten, including oats, berries, raspberries, banana, celery and honey.

The day sparked great enthusiasm for the topic, and we are very excited to continue our Viking adventure and see where our learning takes us next!
