On Thursday 6th November, Year 4 had a day of outside learning. They measured lengths, heights and widths with a piece of string and a metre stick. They orienteered around the playground and field for spelling and they explored the science garden and looked at how unique nature is, just like humans.

"I was supposed to be at the Science garden but I ended up by the play equipment, I think I had the map the wrong way round."

"I used the map and I found the correct place and I got the right information but my partner spelt it wrong, it's all he had to do."

"I had to keep running all over the place, why don't they just put them closer together?"

"I do like orienteering, I think it's a bit like mountaineering but there aren't any mountains"

"It was very interesting looking at all our thumbprints. The look so similar but are actually different."

"Nature is full of unique things. We just kept on discovering all sorts while exploring!"
