Year 5 - Academy Art Project (2)

Our Year 5 artists went over to the Academy today to continue working on their sculpture project with Mrs Parry-Smith. 

After an unfortunate incident with the laminator last week (which decided to give up after laminating just 2 of the children's creations) Mrs Parry-Smith kindly got all the pieces laminated and ready for the children to look at on their return this morning.  

The children were encouraged to consider the audience, volume, materials and shape of their sculpture, and sketch out some design ideas in teams. They then worked on selecting the best parts from each team's design to create a collaborative piece. 

Next week they will begin to create sections of their sculpture.
