Forces

We have started our new topic on forces and have looked at different forces.

We investigated different forces in a class activity using a blown up balloon and letting it go using the force of thrust 

in rushed forward through the air along a piece of string. We discussed what was making it move and why it was stopping. 

It might be a good idea to have a discussion about forces at home, such as pulling a chair out to sit on or pushing a door to open it. 

Ask your child: What force is happening there? How do you know? What would change it?
