Year 3 - Science Topic of Light

Science - Light

In year 3 this term we have been exploring Light and Shadows. We looked at different sources of light but also how shadows are created. 

We looked at things that are translucent, transparent and opaque and used such items to see if light would pass through and help us create a shadow. 

Ask you child what these words means and have a discussion about how shadows are created, especially on a sunny day.

Find out: When do we have longer or shorter shadows outside (on a sunny day) and why?
