Year 1 Lunar New Year

Year 1 have loved learning about Lunar New Year, writing their own narrative retelling of The Great Race story, and a fact file about the history and traditions of the celebration. Children also enjoyed a dance workshop, carefully following the instructor to learn a routine to traditional Chinese music, complete with fans, parasols and even a dragon! Ask your child to share what they remember about The Great Race story and what they know about how families celebrate Lunar New Year.
