Year 6 - Genes and Inheritance

In Biology, Year 6 have been learning about inheritance and genes. At the beginning of the lesson, the children looked at baby photos of each other in the class, they were able to spot which offspring was who and could explain why based on their facial features.

The children also learnt that some characteristics are inherited through your genes and some are enviornmental. Many of the children were also able to challenge themselves and see which characteristics overlap.The children represented their learning of inheritance, genes and offspring with gummy bears.
