Frinton Beach Trip
Back to Latest News
Yesterday Year 2 had an amzing trip to the beach. Despite the rainy and grey weather, we loved every minute! When we arrived, the tide was out so there was plenty of space to explore the beach, collect beach treasures and do a scavenger hunt. It wasn't long before we took our wellies and socks off to go paddling! All the children took part in a mapping activity where we found objects, such as a life buoy and certain beach huts, and plotted them on a map. After a delicious picnic lunch, the children all received a beach toy to play with. Some children made a wonderful river and waterfall in the sand, using the knowledge they have gained in school when we have learned about rivers and other bodies of water. We were also lucky to have some kites to fly. As we left the beach, we noticed that the tide was starting to come back in so the beach would soon be covered in water. We had the time of our lives and lots of the children decided that they would definitely want to go back!
