Year 5 and 6 - Author Visit

Today, Year 5 and 6 were visited by the author Michelle Harrison. During the visit, Michelle discussed her journey to becoming an author. She spoke about her role models, favourite books and the challenges she faced on her journey. 

The children enjoyed learning about the inspirations behind Michelle Harrison’s most famous books, including her newest release, “Twice Upon a Time.” The children were lucky enough to hear Michelle read the first chapter of her book to them, as well as hear a sneak peek about the sequel of the book!

The children showed engagement with the talk, and asked a variety of insightful questions. Some of these included: 

'What is your advice to young authors?'

'How do you get over writer's block?'

'Which of your achievements made you the proudest?'
