Year 1 Hot and Cold Places

Year 1 have been working hard to learn all about hot and cold places in the world, using their Geographical knowledge of the equator to write fact files about each place. They were also set with the task of packing a suitcase for a destination, using their learning to help them consider what items and clothing they would need.

They have enjoyed using the different enhancements in the classroom related to this unit of learning, from an Arctic environment in the outside area to a safari in the classroom small world.

The children could not believe their eyes on Monday morning when they were greeted by a pair of very cheeky elves. They are visiting from the North Pole and getting up to all sorts of mischief in the Year 1 classrooms! Luckily, the children have helped by demonstrating their fantastic Behaviours for Learning.
