Dormouse & Hedgehog Class

The children have had a ball exploring the effects of the chilly weather! They have been talking about the changes in water, the frost left on the ground and what happens when the sun comes out. 

We also learning about the artist Constantin Brancusi and the many wonderful sculptures he made. The children created Brancusi inspired 'Endless Columns' and discovered how to mage them look endless by learning to take photos from different perspectives. They even made themselves look like giants too.

They had so much fun decorating their classes to reflect our Christmas celebrations and welcomed the very cheeky elves, Elvis and Elphaba, who were sent by Father Christmas to learn some Behaviour for Learning! When the elves first arrived they hid in the classroom and the children spent their Free Learning investigating for evidence of their hiding places. They found crumbs on the floor, believed to be left behind by the elves and even some glitter scattered across a table. The cheeky elves even left behind picture clues of where they had been in the classroom's!
