Year 1 Exotic Explorers Visit
Back to Latest News
Year One were very fortunate today to be visited by some exciting animals!
Exotic Explorers visited bringing with them bearded dragons, fire salamanders, a snake, a skunk and a snowy owl.
The children loved the visit. Some of their highlights were holding the bearded dragons and salamanders, stroking the snake and skunk and watching the owl fly over their heads! They have learnt all about the different animal groups these animals are from and about some of their key physical characteristics.
The children were excellently behaved and showed fantastic respect and care towards the animals - noticed by the Exotic Explorers team.
When we returned to class we sorted the animals we have seen over the past few weeks into their animal groups and identified some of the key characteristics of each group.
Ask your child which animal group the animals pictured are from and what their key characteristics are?
