Year 1 Plant Detectives

Year 1 have been working hard in their Science learning this term, where we have been looking at plants. The children loved using identification charts to explore the school grounds and identify different flowering plants and trees. We discussed the difference between deciduous and evergreen trees and how they change through the four seasons. We learned that some trees grow fruits and vegetables, and practised our threading skills in Food Technology to make fruit kebabs. Delicious!
