Year 3 The River Nile

This week we continued with our learning about Egypt but we took a closer look at the Nile and why it was so important in Ancient Egypt. 

We used various items to make a model or the Nile Delta. We used sand for the desert, soil to show the rich, fertile black land along the river banks and tissue paper for the water. 

Ask your child to tell you what else we made using lego (pyramids) and making holes (to depict quarries and mines) in the sand?
