Year 6 learnt all about Thanksgiving and the traditions and delicacies that go with it and with some visitors to the school made their own pumpkin pies. Winter is a great time to get planting beds ready for Spring and so that is exactly what we have continued to do. We had already cleared one bed so we weeded the rest and they are now ready for planting. Snow stopped play for a week or two but we managed to plant some bulbs ready for some Spring colour and to bring some cheer to the playground. We also planted some onions which will be useful to the school kitchen. We found lots of worms which means the soil is good so hopefully we'll get a bumper crop! Miss Pannel saved us some seeds from a pepper she had so we sowed them in a seed tray to see if they grow.
Some of the children at Forest School made some bird feeders that they hung in the Science Garden.
