Year 1 Rabbit Visits

In Maths, Year 1 have been learning how to find a half by sharing into two equal groups, using a fraction circle and physical resources such as multilink cubes and pegs.

Children have enjoyed continuing their Sculpting sessions, using papier-mache to cover their fish, and eagerly wait for them to dry before decorating next week.

At Forest School, Squirrel Class spent the afternoon playing hide and seek and exploring the natural environment, observing the frost in the trees and the fallen Autumn leaves. The children also played lots of running games to keep warm in the cold weather.

You may have also noticed some special visitors in the photos. Year 1 were very excited to have the rabbits join their learning this week. The children showed such care and consideration towards the animals, and the rabbits were very happy exploring this new environment.
