Year 2 - A London Bus TourBack to Latest News
This afternoon, year 2 hopped on an imaginary double decker bus and we stopped at a couple of London landmarks. Ask us what a landmark is.
We had a tour around the Tower of London, watched Tower Bridge open and close and talked about the magnificent architecture and engineering that goes into such a bridge.
We then looked at the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben and discussed why we have a parliament, linking this to our own class councillors.
Finally, we stopped at Buckingham Palace and looked at how many rooms Buckingham palace has. Did you know there are over 200 bedrooms and 72 bathrooms! ~We then watched the changing of the guards and had a go ourself.
Ask your child what they can remember from the afternoon.
