This week we read the book 'After the Storm'. This story made the children questioned what it would be like if they were on a storm so we decided to create our own storm in the classroom. There was strong wind, very loud thunder, and we had to cover our heads as it was raining!

Later in the week, we did a science experiment. Percy the Park Keeper (the main character in our story) got caught his raincoat on a tree and ripped it. Our job was to find out which material would be best for Percy to get a new raincoat made of. We did this by, independently, testing how a range of materials reacted when having water dripped on them. We found that plastic would be the best and that tissue would be a terrible material to make a raincoat.

We also enjoyed our first Forest School session this week. We spent our session making music with sticks, renovating our bug hotel and exploring our pond. We had so much fun pretending to be royalty and creating a castle to look across our land.
