This week we started our new Unit of work – ‘What did the Romans do for us?’ – where we will be discovering what impact the Roman empire had on Britain. We started our learning by acting as archaeologists, digging up roman artefacts, creating questions about the artefacts and making assumptions about what roman life was like using evidence. We can’t wait to delve deeper into the past and find out more about the effect the Romans had on our lives today.

We had some very special visitors come to our class this week. They are covered in fur, have two long ears and love to hop around. They are our school rabbits and will now be weekly visitors to Year 4, spending time exploring our classrooms.

This week also saw the start of our Spring Forest School sessions, with Lizards class starting us off. We took part in some orienteering activities, where we had to use a map to find different locations and at each location we took part in a different activity. One of our favourite activities was the final one. Here we had to work as a team to create different animals using our bodies. Can you guess which animals we were?
