This week Year 5 took part in a Conservation Project withThames Chase Trust. They went to Dagnam Park and picked seeds which they then went on to plant as new trees. The children thoroughly enjoyed the 'Tree Planting' project and learnt so much from it.

Some of our children said:

We need to keep the trees healthy because it provides us oxygen, food and fruit.

My favourite part of the project was when we were planting the seeds.

I liked it because it was fun to see the deer, plants and different seeds.

We put sticks over where we planted the seeds so the deer couldn’t get into it easily, helping it to grow.

The best way to plant the seeds were to put the grass upside down as it provided it nutrients for the seeds.

Well done Year 5 for showing so much engagement during the project!
