What a busy first week back. The sun has been shining and we had plenty of rain over the break – so it was time to harvest even more strawberries and lots of radishes. We have delivered the radishes to the kitchen where they will be prepared and used in our salads during the week!

We had so much fun learning about our focus artist, Claude Monet. He created 250 different water lily oil paintings…and these truly inspired the children to create their own works of art. I’m sure you will agree that they are absolutely stunning!

We have been practising our Sport’s Day events with Mr Juson and getting to know which House Team we are in. The children are very much looking forward to Sport’s Day next week – and have been talking about the importance of sun cream and a hat that covers their ears and neck.

This week we have been learning another language. The children can now greet someone they meet in Spanish! Well done to Hedgehog Class who showed care for our Pond & Orchard by straightening and supporting lots of saplings, pulling up weeds and mending the minibeast homes as part of their Forest School session.
