Year 4 - Trip to the Manor House

Year 4 have been learning about the history of Harold Hill during our Theme lessons. On Friday we had a guided tour of the Manor House (Dagnam Park) where the children saw the ruins of what was once a large, 40 bedroom Manor House. The children were fascinated by what was once there and found it very interesting that this is in their local area. They enjoyed asking questions and finding out more about what the house was used for, who lived there and why it is now no longer there. To continue our learning the children wrote about the Manor House and their experience in their Theme books.
